Pigs that fly, steers that sell themselves, a course for horses – all made from cards.

Sometimes good design can act as a trigger that unleashes a flood of creativity. This is what happened when Enbridge Inc. came to Sasges Inc. as the national sponsor of 4-H Canada’s 100th anniversary celebrations last year. They asked us to develop a commemorative gift that would be distributed to all of 4-H members, and to create an online campaign to promote engagement across the country. When a client asks us to “re-envision” real-estate marketing, we get excited. When they mention the words “inner city development,” our design team leaps for the challenge.

In 2012, M2i Development Corporation invited Sasges Inc. to help them brand and launch their first project. M2i was planning a rare offering in Calgary: a new residential development within a well-established, historical neighbourhood. M2i’s overall vision is to develop a multi-building urban village that, while distinct, will be very much a part of Inglewood.

The Sasges Inc., goat book is exactly what it sounds like – an entire book dedicated to those quirky, mischievous and fascinating creatures. Filled with photography, illustrations, recipes and goat miscellany; the book is a collaboration and labour of love… the love of goats.

Every few months the designers at Sasges Inc. get to tackle what it means to be an Enbridge employee. That doesn’t mean we get handed a hard hat and a key card but rather we get the opportunity to delve into Enbridge life through the eyes of employees as we design Link magazine. Each issue tackles a specific topic key to Enbridge’s success including the environment, safety, corporate values, and Enbridge’s controversial Northern Gateway Pipeline project. It’s a challenging and fun design romp as we work directly with illustrators, photographers, Enbridge editors and writers to craft a unique and definitely “non-corporate” visual story.

Stop by the Sasges Inc. studio late in the afternoon and you’ll typically be offered an espresso from our screaming eagle machine or cheese from our Janice Beaton cheese delivery. But lately we have a new offering – it’s the premier 2007 vintage of Sonoma, California based Genius Wines.
